Click & Collect Store – Agrain, Desa Sri Hartamas
Monica Tindall
Making healthy eating even easier, the team at Agrain has opened a sixth store in Desa Sri Hartamas. The “Agrain Click & Collect Store” is an express retail format built to align with customers’ preferences which have evolved over the pandemic. As working from home has become the new normal, new Agrain outlets are located in neighbourhoods and cater well to online requests. Customers can order ahead using Click & Collect or arrange delivery. The team focuses on providing more contactless experiences such as curbside collection, greater physical distancing and reduced in-store congestion. Their goal is to make healthy eating convenient, fast and accessible.
Agrain Click & Collect Store
Ordering is simple via their website. Agrain’s macro calculator makes it super easy to make choices designed for your needs. Additionally, the flexibility of pick-up or delivery means healthy meals really are just a click away. Do note, you will need to create an account or log in as a “guest” to see the full menu.
Healthy Meals
We’ve had several orders from Agrain over the past years. The meals are not gourmet but rather wholesome ingredients put together in tasty combinations. The appeal for me is in their simplicity and consumers’ control over exactly what goes into every dish. Sauces and dressings are always packed separately, giving further control over what you consume.
Here are a few of the meals we try this week. All are 100% customizable, so you have complete direction over portioning and ingredients.
The New Ultraman
The New Ultraman was probably our favourite from Agrain’s Click & Collect Store. Cubes of honey-soy chicken thigh combine with baked egg, corn, mushroom, Parmesan, nori and salted egg yolk. I always appreciate brown rice options, and this is what sides the chicken.
Asian Bolognese Pasta
An Asian touch is seen in the Bolognese Pasta with honey soy thigh bulking up pumpkin, cauliflower and thin pasta strings. Parmesan and a light pomodoro sauce season the dish.
Thai Chilli Chicken Rice
Brown rice forms the base of the Thai Chilli Chicken Rice. Chilli chicken breast, eggplant, French beans and scallions are tossed through. The red curry sauce served apart is darn good. I usually use only a tiny amount of sauce provided, but every last drop of this one gets mopped up.
Vegan Bolognese Pasta
While I prefer to eat a plant-based diet, the Vegan Bolognese Pasta is probably my least preferred of the half-dozen dishes we try this round. Don’t worry, it doesn’t get wasted. I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it, just that some of the other dishes were better. I enjoy the variety of veg though, with cherry tomatoes, broccoli, potatoes, mushrooms, tofu, and sunflowers seeds topping the pasta.
Click & Collect Store, Agrain – Cauli Coli Curry
As mentioned, I’m always grateful for whole grains such as brown rice as options. More so, however, I love cauliflower rice as a choice! In this combo, the same red curry sauce from the Thai chicken rice is used from earlier. It complements the rosemary breast, broccoli, lotus root (yum), scallions and sunflower seeds.
The Muscle Junkie
Lastly, The Muscle Junkie provides a low-carb meal with its base of lettuce leaves. This mix has a bit of a Christmassy feel with a cranberry vinaigrette. Two types of chicken breast – chilli and rosemary – are accompanied by corn, broccoli, mushrooms, sunflower seeds and raisins.
Click & Collect Store, Agrain – Drinks
Several freshly made drinks – Mint Lemonade, Lemongrass Tea, Lemongrass Chia and Guava Passionfruit – are provided for convenience. Our favourite is the guava passionfruit. We like the slight tang.
