The Balé Nusa Dua

Imagine a secluded villa hideaway within an imposing ancient civilisation, and you will have some sense of the setting at The Balé Nusa Dua. This retreat offers 29 signature pavilion-style villas in a lush tropical location, where couples can be assured of privacy and tranquillity. With the glorious colours of Bali flora at every turn, we soon feel subsumed by nature.
Accommodation at The Balé Nusa Dua
Our room is the Deluxe Single Pavilion offering 480 sq. metres of room and garden. A sense of space pervades with the high ceiling, while woven bamboo natural wood and taupe tones develop a combination of clean elegance and traditional style. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood in, giving an indoor-outdoor sense to our serene pavilion experience.
The capacious bed with draped netting adds a romantic wistfulness to the room. The spacious interior features a flat-screen television, tea and coffee-making facilities and a stereo that integrates with Android devices. Through a generous dressing area, our bathroom also resonates with space. Double sinks are furnished with products in sustainable refillable ceramic pots. Monica revels in the outdoor waterfall shower while I wax lyrical over the deep bath with aromatic bath salts.
We both delight in the expansive sparkling pool, where the bubbling water feature soothes away the stresses of travel. The complimentary bathrobes are perfect for relaxing on our secluded garden’s shady, banging daybed (we’d love to see a ceiling fan installed here). After exploring the fine dining delights of the area, returning to the quiet pavilion feels like a sanctuary.
Faces Restaurant
Breakfast at The Balé Nusa Dua features an a la carte menu that can be enjoyed poolside at Faces restaurant or ordered in the privacy of your room. With traditional, western and signature options, there are choices for all kinds of breakfast preferences. We particularly enjoyed the fresh juices. Faces restaurant offers an all-day service from 7 am until 11 pm. Room service from Faces restaurant can be ordered via the concierge app.
Facilities and Activities – The Balé Nusa Dua
The Spa at The Balé offers a range of massages, rituals and beauty treatments. Booking is advised. The small gym overlooking the grounds is open from 8 am to 10 pm for those who need their fitness fix. Close by the lobby is a small library with books to borrow and more consistent internet service.
Although we enjoyed dipping in our private pool, the main pool offers a more extensive swimming experience and relaxing traditional daybeds in a shady tropical environment. The beach is a short walk away with a coastal boardwalk lined with hotel restaurants.
The Balé Nusa Dua Review
Our stay at The Balé Nusa Dua is primarily one of tranquillity and peace, being secluded from the world by solid stone walls and surrounded by shady trees and flowering plants. Internet connection is inconsistent, making this property most suitable for a ‘disconnect’ experience rather than a ‘working while travelling office’. We found it a convenient base with easy access to the airport and a great base from which to explore the fine dining experiences on the island’s southern tip.
Reasons to visit The Balé Nusa Dua: Spacious pool pavilions, secluded privacy, easy and fast access to the airport on an excellent highway.

Looks pretty fancy and plenty to do. Plus relax
Coffee is on and stay safe
It sure looks like you go to Bali quite often. I’ve never been to anywhere in Indonesia except Lake Toba in the 80’s!
I love it there. I could stay for months on end and still find interesting things to do and eat.
A relaxing oasis that provides you so much to do! The slimline design of the lobby and room makes me want to sit up straight. However, I do love the bathroom and canopy bed.
